During the COVID-19 pandemic, 124,000 US schools closed for classroom learning,
yet 95% engaged in emergency assistance to continue providing meals to students outside of school.
To help schools close the gap in funding to ensure continuity of school meals, GENYOUth launched
the For Schools' Sake fund raising campaign and
COVID-19 Emergency School Nutrition Fund. This report reflects data from the grant applications received.
